Romania day 1 - Departure

It’s fantastic weather! First we go to motozoom to get some oil and, since we are there anyway and we forgot at home, tighten my mirror. When that’s done we enter the highway.

We had lunch at Real, we planned on eating Curry Wurz with Pommes like we always do in Aken. Unfortunately that’s not possible at every Real. So we end up at the sidewalk with a bag with rolls and the spreads from our panniers.

After the lunch we return to the highway. We saw some rain coming and lucky as we were there was also a parking place with a toilet building and a overhanging roof. We are less than half a second on the sidewalk in front of the toilet building and there comes a downpour! So we sheltered by the toilet building and 15 minutes later it was over and we could continue.

Our diner we had at a Gasthaus serving traditional dishes (but no Curry Wurz). The owner was a Greek and they also had some Greek dishes. The dishes we tried were very good! And there the beer we had tasted in this summer temperature also delicious!

After diner we still had to drive a little, but this time no highways anymore. We arrived at 21:15 at the hotel we had booked. Just grab some stuff and put in the room and then into town to get beer. It turned out there was no possibility to get beer in the village, not even a pub. After an hour walking around we decided to go to sleep.

Het is een superweertje! Eerst naar motozoom om olie te halen en mijn spiegel vast te schroeven en daarna de snelweg op.

Gelunched hebben we bij Real, we dachten er binnen Curry Wurz met Pommes te gaan eten zoals dat bij Aken ook kan helaas blijkt dat niet overal te kunnen. Zo eindigden we buiten op de stoep met een zak met broodjes en het beleg uit onze koffers en hebben we op de stoep broodjes gesmeerd.

Na de lunch terug de snelweg op. Toen we de regen zagen naderen was er gelukkig ook net een parkeerplaats langs de snelweg. We staan nog geen halve seconde op de stoep voor het WC gebouw geparkeerd en er komt een hoosbui! Geschuild dus maar bij het WC gebouw en 15 minuten later was het weer over en konden we verder.

Als avond eten Grieks gegeten bij een Gasthaus die traditionele schotels had (maar geen Curry Wurz). Het Grieks was wel zeer goed! En het biertje wat we erbij hadden smaakten bij deze zomerse temperaturen ook heerlijk!

Daarna enkel nog even binnendoor gereden naar het hotel wat we geboekt hadden. Daar kwamen we om 21:15 aan. Even wat spullen pakken en op de kamer zetten en dan het dorp in om bier te halen. Bleek echter niets in het dorp te zitten, niet eens een kroeg. Na een uurtje rondwandelen dan maar besloten te gaan slapen.
