V for Victory

Was today, over 65 years ago, our country liberated from the German occupation. This year we didn't notice a lot of the festivities to celebrate this fact. Yet we are victorious. The ultimate tank bag has been found!

Early in the morning we set course to the east of our country. First destination Waypoint in Notter. Hoping they would have some demo bike-2-bike communication sets, that we could try out. In fact our experience with bike-2-bike communication sets is not very positive. And we want to avoid a new disappointment. But unfortunately there are no demo sets. Moreover, we don't really get the impression that the salesperson, who's helping us, knows all the ins and outs of the available devices. Too bad for a company that claims to be specialized in navigation and communication. Somewhat disappointed, we return home.

As planned we visit the Rally Adventure Shop in Zutphen on our way back home. During the motorbeurs (motorcycle fair) in Utrecht, they displayed a couple of nice Wolfman tank bags. Today we found the time to fit them to our bikes. Eventually we choose the small Expedition tank bag, as it best fits the shape of the Transalp fuel tank. Isn't it pretty?

Werd vandaag, ruim 65 jaar geleden, ons land nog bevrijd van de Duitse bezetters. Dit jaar hebben we maar weinig meegekregen van de festiviteiten om dit te vieren. Toch hebben we weer een overwinning behaald. De ultieme tanktas is gevonden!

Vanmorgen vroeg vertrokken richting het oosten van het land. Eerste bestemming Waypoint in Notter. In de hoop dat ze daar demo modellen van communicatiesetjes hebben. Zodat we die uit zouden kunnen proberen. Onze ervaringen met bike-2-bike communicatiesetjes zijn namelijk niet heel erg positief. En we willen graag een nieuwe teleurstelling voorkomen. Maar helaas er zijn geen demo sets. Bovendien krijgen we niet echt de indruk dat de verkoper, die we getroffen hebben, alle ins en outs van de apparaten kent. Toch jammer voor een bedrijf dat gespecialiseerd is in navigatie en communicatie. Enigszins teleurgesteld keren we terug naar huis.

Op de terugweg gaan we, zoals gepland, nog eventjes langs de Rally Adventure Shop in Zutphen. We hebben hier, tijdens de motorbeurs, een paar mooie Wolfman tanktassen gezien en we hebben nu de tijd om deze op de motor te passen. De keus valt uiteindelijk op de Small Expedition tanktas. Deze past het beste bij de vorm van de Transalp tank. Is het geen plaatje?
